Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account, booking a service, or using any QuickFix Service Mechanics platform (“QuickFix, ” “we,” “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

QuickFix is a mobile auto-repair platform connecting customers with vetted mobile mechanics for at-home and on-site vehicle maintenance. Customers book services, mechanics travel to the customer's vehicle, and payment is processed through our platform via Stripe.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into a contract on behalf of yourself or your business.

4. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@quickfixservicemechanics.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Bookings, pricing, and payment

Service prices, parts costs, labor rates, and applicable taxes are shown at the booking quote step. You authorize the displayed total to be captured upon service completion. Refunds are issued per the Refund & Dispute Policy below.

Tips offered to mechanics post-service are optional and routed directly to the mechanic via Stripe Connect.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel a scheduled booking up to 2 hours before the scheduled start time at no charge by visiting /me/bookings or by contacting support@quickfixservicemechanics.com. Same-day cancellations within the 2-hour window may incur a $25 dispatch fee.

7. Inspections and recommendations

Mechanics may identify additional issues during a service and provide a written, photo-backed inspection report. You are under no obligation to authorize follow-up work. Inspection findings are informational and are based on the mechanic's observations at the time of service.

8. Refund and dispute policy

If you're unsatisfied with a service, file a dispute at /me/disputeswithin 30 days. Our team reviews disputes against the mechanic's photo and inspection record. Outcomes range from full refund to partial credit. Decisions are final but you retain all rights under applicable consumer-protection laws.

9. SMS notifications program (10DLC)

Program name: QuickFix Service Mechanics SMS Notifications.

Description: Transactional, service-related text messages tied to your bookings and account. Includes booking confirmations, mechanic-on-the-way ETA alerts, service-completion receipts, post-service inspection report links, payment confirmations, refund and dispute updates, and occasional service-area expansion announcements (only if you specifically opted in for those).

Message frequency: Up to 4 messages per service booking. Active customers may receive 0–10 SMS per month depending on booking volume. Customers without active bookings typically receive 0 messages.

Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply per your wireless carrier plan. QuickFix does not charge a fee for the messages themselves.

Opt-in: SMS notifications are off by default. You opt in by affirmatively checking a labeled checkbox during account signup at quickfixservicemechanics.com/signup, during a booking at quickfixservicemechanics.com/book, or in your account settings at quickfixservicemechanics.com/me/account. Phone number is collected on the same form.

HELP: Reply HELP to any SMS to receive support contact information including our support email and the originating phone number.

STOP / opt-out: Reply STOP to any SMS at any time to unsubscribe from all SMS messages. You can also toggle the SMS notifications switch off at quickfixservicemechanics.com/me/account. Opt-out is effective immediately.

Supported carriers:All major US carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and most regional carriers). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: Phone numbers and opt-in records are never shared with third parties or used for marketing outside the QuickFix transactional notifications described above. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

10. Email notifications

Transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts, inspection reports) are sent for every active booking. Optional marketing emails can be unsubscribed via the link in any marketing message.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the platform for fraud or illegal activity, attempt to access another customer's account, scrape or interfere with the service, or harass our mechanics or staff. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

12. Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is.” We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Mechanics are independent contractors; while we vet and rate them, you retain final judgment on whether to authorize any work.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuickFix's liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes are communicated by email and an in-product notice. Your continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wayne County, Michigan.
